'Karthik Calling Karthik' is a Hindi language drama about a man who is plagued by a mysterious phone caller who claims his identity. The film was classified '12A' for suicide references.
The film contains two scenes involving suicide references, in which the main character tries to end his life by taking some unidentified pills. The first attempt is aborted very quickly when a phone call arrives. There is also a climactic scene in the film in which the same character takes pills and then falls unconscious on the floor. However, this is part of an imaginary sequence and the character has actually not committed suicide in the story. There is some risk that the images of the main character taking pills might be copied by younger children who do not understand the consequences or suicidal intentions of the character. The scenes and references are, however, permissible at '12A', where viewers will have a better understanding of the risks and context of the suicide attempts in the story.
The film also contains mild language (eg 'bloody', 'bastard', 'son of a bitch').
